The World Health Organization (WHO) defines Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA) as the rapid development of clinical signs of focal disturbances in brain function, with symptoms that last 24 hours or more, have a vascular origin and result in cognitive and sensorimotor alterations.
UMDR Tavira has a multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, which throughout its existence has intervened in countless users with neurological conditions, namely strokes, accumulating great stories of overcoming and success.
Its main objective is intensive rehabilitation in order to restore functionality and independence so that they can return home with greater autonomy and safety.
